Valentines Day is coming soon and Tribal SDstyle has a very special treat for you! We are teaming up with Urban Tribal Dance Company to bring you some Love for Valentines.
Mardi Love will be coming to San Diego for a show and two workshops!
It all starts on Thursday, February 14, 2008, when Urban Tribal presents a show featuring Mardi Love for you and your sweet heart at Kava Lounge. Doors open at 8pm. Show starts promptly at 8:30pm. day one delivers combinations for quicker tempos. using combinations in improvisational dance is a good way to keep your head whilst striving for variety and contrast. movements will be broken down and drilled. combinations will be joined together to form a short, original choreography. some belly dance experience highly recommended.

another day another dance, but today drops itself into a jar of molasses. mardi presents combinations borne out of her slow-dancin bag of tricks. new movements are introduced, as well as new takes on some basic slower moves in the tribal repertoire. some belly dance experience highly recommended.

2008 brings many dreams and goals for Tribal SDstyle. Our main goals are to raise enough funds to file for official 501c(3) status and continue to increase support for our chosen charitable organizations. This year our recipients represent our goals of continuing to support performing arts and humanitarian organizations. The 2008 recipients are Humanitarian Circus and Coronado School of the Arts.
Humanitarian Circus is an organization that travels to war-torn and impoverished areas to bring entertainment, arts and laughter to it's displaced children.
Coronado School of the Arts is a regional public arts conservatory program for grades 9 through 12. The program reaches out to talented high school students from San Diego County offering a nurturing environment focused on individual growth, opportunity and diversity. Tribal SDstyle is partnering with CoSA Foundation to present the 2008 Tribal SDstyle Festival.
